Welcome to the March newsletter that looks at the results for last month, quarter and year and compares them with the previous 12 months. It is good to be able to report that there was positive growth in terms of lots offered, lots sold and amount raised for both the residential and commercial sectors when comparing February 2011 with February 2010.

National Auction Analysis
| As I mentioned above, the numbers are more encouraging than they have been for a long time. Residential and commercial combined have seen all three periods see an increase in lots offered and lots sold and either a rise (10% February on February) or a fall of less than 1% in the amount raised.
Looking at the two sectors separately, both performed well over the three time periods with positive upward trends in lots offered, lots sold and amount raised in most cases. This optimism should however be tempered with the fact that in all 9 comparable cases, the 'percent sold' fell by between 2% and 6.1%. As always I look forward to reviewing the March figures next month. |
