David Sandeman, Managing Director Hello and welcome to the first of what will be a monthly newsletter giving you an overall picture of the property auction market in the UK. I do hope you find the statistics interesting and I would welcome suggestions as to what you would like to see in future editions. Not only will there be a round-up of auction statistics but at the bottom of the news letter will be news of any modifications or changes we have made to the web site that might be of interest to you.

Regional Auction Analysis
We have split the UK up into 13 regions, with each region consisting of a selection of counties. To find out which counties are in a specific region simply click on the location map link below. The compiled figures are based on the location of the lots, not the auction houses. The majority of regions have seen a rise in all three statistics, particularly the North-East and Northern England regions, which have had big increases in the volume of lots being offered and subsequently sold.

News and developments on the web site
Same tenant comparison   Similar Tenants icon
When looking at the results of a search, you will note that a new icon (showing above) will appear when the tenant of the commercial property is shown. By clicking this icon a sub search will be automatically run with the results shown on screen to display all the lots in the database that have exactly the same tenant. You can return to the original results set by clicking the 'back' button on your browser. Please note however, that only tenants with exactly the same name will be shown, so for example if the tenant showing was Boots plc, any lot where Boots Property Ltd was the tenant would not be returned even though they are connected.
