Welcome to the March news letter giving a summary of results for February
2006. With the Christmas holidays well behind us, the level of activity
was as expected well up on January and above average for a normal trading
month with over £600 million pounds being raised.
This month's graph shows how the number of residential lots sold at auction
over the last 5 years has steadily increased, whilst private treaty
sales, having peaked in 2002, have now fallen back to 2000 levels.
Kind regards

Regional Auction Analysis
Given the national increase in the number of lots offered, the regional split was in line
with this trend when compared with 2005, and only 3 regions saw significant drop
in the number of lots offered, and a similar number saw the amount raised fall as well.

News and developments on the web site
We have introduced a "shortlist" facility on the site. By clicking on the 'add to shortlist' icon found on the extreme right of icons, the lot will be added to the "shortlist" that will open in a new window. You can add as many properties as you like from different searches and print the list when you are done. The list will automatically clear itself after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Other news
We will be exhibiting at the Home buyer Show at Excel London, 17th-19 March, and I will be presenting the seminar on How to buy at Auction'. Full details are at www.homebuyer.co.uk. We look forward to seeing our clients there.
