National Auction Analysis
With the first quarter of 2007 behind us we can see that not only was March 07 well up on March 06, but also the overall results for the first quarter have seen big increases as well. As mentioned in the introduction, the % sold rate has fallen slightly though we have seen lower rates several times last year. What is significant, is the surge in the value of properties sold at auction when compared with similar periods last year. The rolling year figure is now in excess of 23%.

Regional Auction Analysis
March 07, when compared with March 06, sees different patterns across the regions. Northern Ireland saw a big increase in all the numbers with a major commercial sale taking place last month, whilst London saw a fall in lots offered and sold though the amount raised increased 22%. The same trends were seen for the South East Home Counties as well. These figures though are just comparing one month and over a longer period of time the anomalies tend to be flattened out.
